Auto Headlight Lens Cleaner

my 2001 jetta headlight has a film on the inside..?

is there a way i can take the headlight off myself? i’ve opened my hood before and they headlights are secured from the inside. the manual says to take it to the dealership. (i’ve already called mine & they said they’ll only do it during the week) but i have work monday through friday!
so i called an auto shop & they guy quoted me $266.95 for an entire headlight assembly (seems like alot..) i’m having him replace the bulb because it burned out, but i just want to clean the lens, i dont need to replace it.
does anyone know if there’s a way i can take the headlight lens off myself (i dont mind getting dirty!) but i’m not going to pay $266 for a cleaner lens! i have a cleaner that i know will work (i’ve tried it on the outside of the lens), so i was going to use that, i just need to get on the INSIDE of the lens.

Most of the time you can wet sand the out side with 1500 grit sand paper,then use a highspeed buffer and then wax over it.I did my friends focus and it looked new again.The film is usually on the outside,even though it look s like its on the inside.Its cheaper than replacing the light.
