How long does it take to get insurance after ordering it??

I’m 16 years old who lives in Illinois and I got license 3 days ago. My dad ordered the auto-insurance today for Travelers. I want to know how long does it to take to get insurance… is it like 1 or 2 days?

Since you are under age 18, I have to assume your dad “added” you to his policy by a phone call. If this is true, you are covered immediately. You only have to wait for processing and mail time to get your policy back in. If the car is in his name, make note that the Insurance Card will also be in his name. Just remember to carry it in the car at all times.
