Autocad 2010 Books
Help me become an architect!! 10 points?
Here is the deal:
I have a year to upgrade my math 12 and take physics 12 before I apply for University in the fall of 2011. I assume I will get accepted for an architecture program of some sort, but I guess depending on how well I do with my upgrading.
Since I have a year to do whatever; any suggestions on things I could do, books to read, stuff to learn to help me with my future career would be great.
I am currently learning autocad 2010 and photoshop cs3. I sketch buildings and objects once in a while (I have no background art experience). Any other things such as volunteering, reading etc I should do?

architect is a combination of artist and engineer
usual engineering degrees take 4 years but architects take 5 or 6 because there is so much specialized information
read history. See if you can find “Jansen’s (sp) History of Art” or any good architecture book
take some basic drawing, the visual impression and shape is important, a building is NOT just a big box.
