Autocad Macro

i need some help with autocad macros?

I’ve not used macro’s before and was wondering if someone could give me some pointers on how to make a macro to offset a horizontal selected line 20 to the right and left and increase the length 20 at both ends of the first line.

You can develop macro with VBA application, but future version will VB.Net (and VBA unsupported)
Best solution for these simple routine is use Autolisp language, you found reference manual from help Autocad menu.
I develop command LINEOFF for you: copy source text code on notepad and save file with name LINOFF.LSP, note extension .LSP not .TXT
Then load in Autocad from Tools > Autolisp > Load application
Run with LINOFFat prompt command area.
You see message “Offset distance:” write 20 and press return then select line (horiz or oriented with any angle in xy plane)
In source code, if you want fixed distance to 20, use this code
