Autodesk 3ds Max Vs Maya

AMD Opteron vs Intel Xeon?

I hope to start a studio and one of the requirements (besides money) is using a computer. I wish to start an animation studio featuring 3DS max or Autodesk Maya. Which Processor would be best to fit my studio? I will also be working with Motion Capture and other similar features.

The new Xeons use the same technology as the Core 2 Duos did, and just like in desktops, the Xeons have by far surpassed the Opterons. Just as a question, are you planning to build this system yourself, because if you are, I think I can help you save a fairly decent amount of money, I have experience in selecting parts for this type of system.
