Autodesk Autocad Lt 2008
I have a AutoCAD 2006 LT issue with Vista?
I just bought a home computer with vista on it. The only reason I bought the damn thing was to work from home. My laptop was a chore to work on when useing AutoCAD 2006 LT. I asked a gal on the dell chat if it was compatible. She said “yes, vista is compatible with all programs dating back to windows 2000″.
So I put this thing on my dell account. Now I have the computer all set up, and when I go to load up my AutoCAD 2006 LT It says there’s compatibility issues that there is no solution for. I checked Autodesk and it appears that I’m going to have to upgrade to 2008.
This upsets me because I don’t exactly have the extra coin to upgrade. I got this computer just so I could take on some extra work and handle it at home. Does anyone know if Autodesk or microsoft has a solution for this issue without be spending extra cash?
I would do some additional research myself but it’s like 10:30 and I don’t want to be on the phone all night.
It will run. Open the program in Vista with Windows XP compatibility mode enabled. If you’ve not gotten that far, just ignore any “message” during the install and install it anyway. In the “XP” mode it should run just fine.
