Automatic Soap Dispenser Pump

What type of liquid pump is used inside an automatic soap dispenser?

I’m trying to identify the mechanical part(s) inside an electric automatic soap dispenser. I’m looking to find out what type of pump is used, screw pump, peristaltic, etc. Thanks in advance for any help.

It is basically a positive displacement called a plunger pump. It is not unlike the old fashioned water well pumps.

There is a spring loaded plunger and a check valve. When the plunger goes up, it opens the check valve and liquid is sucked up into the barrel. When you press down on the plunger, the check valve closes and the liquid is compressed by the plunger and squirts out of the top.
