Geico Auto Insurance Payment

Im getting geico auto insurance since i just got my provisional and need to drive to college?

im 18, never have violation, never have any accident, will be a full time student
i requested a quote and its “starting at 253.99 a month, plus 5 monthly payments of only 253.99 each, 6 month total premium: 1499.90″
what does all that mean?
will my payment increase or reduce after 5 month or stay the same?
what about the 6 month total premium? 5 month of 253.99 doesnt add up to 1499.90 but the coverage does (bodily injury, etc) do i have to pay 253.99 for 5 months and then 1499.90 every 6 months?
need some clear explanation please

Your total premium for 6 months will be $1499.90. You put $253.99 down and pay $253.99 a month, including a small fee for making monthly payments rather than paying the 6 month total in one lump sum.

After 6 months, you would pay $1499.90 (unless the premium changes due to claims, driving record or other factors) for the next 6 months worth of coverage.
